I specialize in creating delicious dinner parties and meals for you, your family, and your guests. From intimate dinners for two to larger gatherings in you home or vacation rental, I work with you to create a unique experience that meets your personal taste and style. All food is prepared on location with ingredients that you purchase or are purchased by me for direct reimbursement by the client. I can provide either family style or plated service, depending on numbers and preferences. With my training in wines and time spent working in the industry, I am happy to provide guidance on appropriate pairings that match your palette. Paella
Backyard paella parties are a long-time tradition in my family. I would love to help you recreate this fun concept for your family and friends in your home or vacation rental. Paella is a beautiful center piece for any festive gathering, and I have several available recipes to fit your tastes and preferences, including seafood, meat, and vegetarian options. All food is made on-site with ingredients that you either purchase or I purchase for direct client reimbursement. I can also prepare a range of tapas to go along with the paella to make your party or family meal complete. Sunday Supper
One of my passions is "Sunday Supper” – a concept that involves creating an intimate, relaxed gathering around a beautiful three-course meal on a Sunday afternoon. Honing my skills after culinary school and using our large group of family and friends here in Tucson as willing guinea pigs, the Sunday Supper became a fun almost weekly opportunity for me to develop and test interesting themed menus with roots around the country and the globe. I am excited to offer this service to clients who want to recreate this family tradition in their homes or vacation rentals. Some of my favorite Suppers have included an Indian Feast, Spanish Fiesta, Classic Southern Supper, French Bistro, and Thai Feast, but I am happy to help you come up with a concept that suits your palate and the occasion. All food is prepared in your kitchen with ingredients either purchased by the client or purchased by me for direct reimbursement. During the meal, I and am happy to provide background on traditional ingredients and techniques that inspire me as a person and a chef. I can also recommend appropriate wine or beverage pairings to make the theme complete. Sunday Suppers seems to work best for groups of between 6 and 10 guests to allow for lively conversation, often inspired by the region of the cuisine. Cooking Classes (Private or Group)
I am happy to provide cooking classes that encompass a range of classic preparations, world-cuisines dishes, and personal favorites. We work together to make a meal that is enjoyed together at the end of the event - usually over a glass of wine. Some special foods can be intimidating to prepare but are not as challenging as they may seem - fresh pasta, risotto, gnocchi, tortillas, and paella on the grill are some of my personal favorites. Classes can be conducted either in your home or vacation rental kitchen. I can either provide you with a list of the necessary ingredients or purchase the ingredients myself for direct client reimbursement. Let me help you have fun learning how to make fresh new foods for your family and friends!
